OK, not like I brought it up. Go be aggressive somewhere else.
some doctors and scientists
The person you are replying to very clearly did not mean all doctors and scientists.
Water, Chicory, Rooibos Tea, Clipper NoCaf, zero alcohol Guiness/Erdinger.
Yeah, totally different vibe here on Lemmy I'm happy to say. There are helpful people on Reddit too of course just few and far between depending on the sub.
That's like them fining me €1.
Reddit is shit now. PCMR is just memes and weird Linux vs Windows rivalry, Piracy sub is just memes and moral grandstanding, most gaming subs are just bots posting "news" articles, AIO/AITAH are just karma farming for people selling accounts or fanfic quality fantasies, many Linux subs are either insufferably elitist, have a weird fetish for distro-hopping or are just circlejerks (looking at you r/linuxmint).
The only thing it's still good for is niche interests which I doubt will remain the case for long.
They still exist because Google isn't really a technology company anymore. It's an advertising company masquerading as a technology company. Their success depends on selling more ads which is why all the failed projects don't seem to make a difference.
Even if you read the history of Palestine for the last 100 years it only reinforces that Israel is a far-right apartheid state hellbent on the extermination of the inhabitants of that land in the name of Jewish supremacy.
15 Year Olds are Children and they Need Protection
I don't know the context or who this person is but maybe it's about the meaning of words?
Pedophilia = pre-pubescent
Hebephilia = pubescent
Ephebophilia = mid to late pubescent
Well no shit, that's pretty much every ruler/ruling class in history.
Huh, I guess the shared interest in sexual abuse wasn't enough to keep them together.
Buying a game on Steam gets you the same perpetual license for your copy of the game as it does on GoG (the same as any software). The difference is Steam's DRM (requiring the Steam Client to run the game). AFAIK Steam have said in the past that they have a plan to remove it if Steam shuts down.
Here's a video that lays it out in detail as to what game ownership means amongst other things https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUAX0gnZ3Nw.
The big question about all this stuff is how far companies (both game and non-game software) can push their "you don't own your software" agenda before facing a significant legal challenge and what the outcome of that legal challenge will be.
a majority of us DID choose him
77m voted for Trump which is 32% of the voting age population.
As a percentage of the overall population it is ~23%.
Just the breadcrumbs to go! lmao
Now that's a shit post.
Can't wait for Google to drop this after a year leaving anyone who was using it fucked.
He's also a thief of course, as that's the only way to become a billionaire.
