  • Because my mother has never lied to me. So why would she lie about something like this?

That's how im sure about it. So if there's any misinformation about it, it's not from my mother. The doctors, maybe, but not my mother

  • I understand that, but i don't think the misinformation was coming from my mother if that were the case. She told me exactly what happened and exactly what the doctors told her.

  • No, no misinformation. Everything I wrote in the post is exact what my mom told me about her pregnancy and my birth, and what she told me was what the doctors told her what happened.

  • Technically, this has less to do with me and more to do with my mother.

When my mother was pregnant with me, she didn't even know she was pregnant until 7 months into the pregnancy.

I know what you're probably thinking: "How did my mom not realize she was pregnant for that long?", because I wondered this too.

But apparently, according to my mom, I was not growing in her stomach, I somehow moved and was laying flat in her back, so she really didn't notice any significant weight gain.

So when she scheduled a visit to the doctor, because she was feeling oddly sick, the doctor had her do an X-ray/sonogram, and the nurse came in with the results and said to my mom: "We figured out the issue; Congratulations, you're pregnant with twins!"

"What?? TWINS‽" My mother exclaimed in confusion, "No, that can't be right. I can't take care of twins right now!"

And the nurse said "but ma'am, the results show two babies, look!" And my mom told me sure enough, there were two babies in the pictures.

This was in December 2003. In February 2004, I was born.

Just me though. My twin didn't make it: the womb absorbed them. Apparently the technical term for that is Vanishing Twin Syndrome.

But hey, it worked out perfectly: my mom told the doctors when she was about to give birth "I am only leaving out of here with one baby!" and she got her wish.

  • Does little guy even know that he exists?

  • El Diablo Naranja

  • I don't know if I'm a good person to ask this but I still play Subway Surfers to this day

  • Phlebotomy.

    Blood makes me queasy

  • Being more playful. Find more things to laugh and smile about.

Tap into my inner child, getting back into the things I loved as a child because I am a kidult with free will.

Sleep with stuffed animals and taking a plushie with me when I go out, despite what people may think.

Look for glimmer moments in my day.

The world is a hot pile of shitty dumpster fire, but I won't let it take away my smile and wonder and laughter. I will be happy in spite of the world

  • This is in the United States, during segregation.

The little girl in the picture is Ruby Bridges. In 1960, she was one of the first Black kids to integrate a school. In this picture, she is walking to an all-Whites school and the guards are protecting her because the racist white adults wanted to harm her just for wanting to go to school.

Ruby Bridges is still alive today.

  • 6-year old Ruby Bridges walking to school.

This picture was always so powerful to me. I think I had that one famous illustrated storybook about Ruby Bridges.

  • Already seen it.

    It didn't help

  • Yeah, because the American school system.is completely shit!

  • Wait, im sorry, huh? How did the teacher even know about it if it was during the weekend?

  • Okay, I'm not even into videogames like that (used to play Super Mario Bros 2 for the 3DS when I was 11 or so, but not anymore), but oh my stars this is awesome, I friggen love this!!

    Did you do this yourself?
