The real problem is that most politicians were once kids themselves and learned to hate teachers in general.
It's not all teachers. But kids are easy to influence. The bad teachers ruin it for everyone.
Most people affected by The Great US Empire can't even vote because they aren't citizen of the empire. They just get to hear the bombs falling or see the news about why everything gets expensive due to carrier group politics.
So yeah: Those who can vote probably should. It will probably not help much. But maybe it does help a bit to stabilize world trade a bit when the "democrat" imperialists instead of the republican imperialists win the next election.

But do not expect it to get much better than it's now any way.

It's like Brexit with the exception, that most citizen of the core country of The Great US Empire don't really profit from the absurd benefits that come with being the defacto ruler of the world. They never got full state healthcare anyway. They never got a real social security net. All the profits were hoovered up by the military industrial complex and the Epstein billionaire club anyway.
For the majority of the people, losing the world leader status might actually be a neutral change. They can't lose what they never had.
