America has been doing this for decades. Look at Guantanamo Bay. We used the excuse of terrorism then and now we're using the excuse of boarder security. As long as people can be controlled by their greed of or fear then this will continue to happen.
Edit: autocorrect...
Another victim of capitalism. But I don't know of a better system proven over time.
I feel for them, truly. We American workers have been promised pensions that were taken because it was too expensive, Social Security that's now being reduced or threatened with reduction to save money, and told to gamble our retirement in the stock market which is crashing to save money. The folks that were up for retirement this year have been screwed by Trump and his tariffs. The folks already retired are getting screwed by the cost of living. And everyone else years or decades away from retirement are looking at the gates of Oblivion.
I used to work in a factory a few years ago while trying to get a tech job (had to pay the bills) and I remember this old guy that worked there with me. He was in his mid 70s, was slow, and tired. Definitely couldn't keep up with the fast pace environment that required 20, 30, 40yo people to do the job so he had the simplest most insignificant tasks to do. I asked him, one day, why he was still working when he should be at home retired. He said he needed the health care and if he had a medical emergency then there was always someone here that could save his life. That was pretty sad.
Didn't that Trump style behavior convince you guys to leave the EU?
So Trump starts a trade war with the whole damn world, demands the resources of a country ravaged by war, threatens to annex the territory of our allies and an entire ally, but when he "accidentally" deports someone who's supposed to be here to a foreign prison in fucking El Salvatore he's suddenly powerless to bring this one guy back?
Man you guys have forgotten how the US treated black people when we armed ourselves.
Don't make the mistake of thinking you can't be deported just because you're a citizen. Deport first, due process later.
Wasn't this guy impeached last time he was in office? The American people have spoken and we have chosen a dipshit to run the country because most people who voted for him believed that he would hurt the people who are taking advantage of them.
How do you know how much it costs Nintendo to make these games? Do you have financial reports or something?
They are supposed to put themselves at risk to protect the community.
Besides law enforcement in the US does have some origins from slave patrols.
SEE!!! Trump is doing some good! It's about time the power was taken from these arrogant, invasive, Silicon Valley companies.
It's OK. Mostly solving puzzles and collecting echoes. I like the art style but it feels like the Link's Awakening port so it feels like a port when it isn't.
Yeah I put in some hours with Echos of Wisdom but I don't play online much. Probably gonna change that by spectating Smash Bros when I'm supposed to be working.
Oh so the wording is different in the UK. I'll have to edit my post.
This is not what Nintendo claims on their website
Sign in with your Nintendo Account and register your interest in purchasing a Nintendo Switch™ 2 system and select accessories from the official My Nintendo Store. We’ll be in touch with an invitation email once it’s your turn to shop.
Open to Nintendo Account holders in the U.S. and Canada, who are at least 18 years old. If you are eligible, an invitation email will be sent to the email address associated with your Nintendo Account when it is your time to purchase. The invitation will be valid for 72 hours. Invitation emails will be prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis to registrants who have purchased a Nintendo Switch Online membership with a minimum of 12 months of paid membership and a minimum of 50 total gameplay hours, as of April 2, 2025. Once invitation emails have been sent to all registrants meeting the priority criteria, invitations will be sent to remaining eligible registrants on a first-come, first-served basis.
Invitations are non-transferable and will be sent to the email address associated with the Nintendo Account that registered interest in purchasing Nintendo Switch 2. Optional accessories will be available to purchase alongside your system. For system and each accessory, limit one purchase per eligible Nintendo Account during the invitation period.
So it looks like you need a Nintendo account (obviously), be at least 18yo, have purchased a Nintendo Switch Online membership (minimum 12 months), and have 50hrs total gameplay as of today. I don't know if that gameplay is 50hrs total or online only. It's first come first serve. The title is misleading. The requirements are different in the UK.
It's extremely hard actually. The problem isn't the math, it's the ability to communicate with other Americans because you'll be speaking a foreign language.
They were probably invited to the Signal chat and knew the war plans.
Trump seeks third presidential term
Let's see who stops him from destroying the Constitution. This is some Hitler level shit.
Yes. I was worried at the time that we would get a worse product. Things have not changed for me at least.
