I can always agree with this. Ironically though this is the nicest group of MLs that have actually explained shit to various people that I have finally been able to understand the position and that we are not so different (anarchist. Though probably communist to some /shrug)
Every other group of MLs ive ran into have been the fucking racist, transphobic etc yellin about identity politics makes them not racist or some other BS. Seemed very much a "I want power and then slam the door"
I have scratched my head forever how there are so many MLs if this is how it is. It honestly made depressed.
But I understand now I just kept having rotten luck. Which im thanthankful that's what it is.
But this does kind of go with the post. You never know who's lurking and trying to learn. You gotta stand your ground of course. No point arguing with stone. But don't forget not everyone is stone.
Then pick the most pressing thing and go from there. A lot of issues are interconnected anyway. So you'll be working on more then one thing regardless.
Ive dealt with it, but not nearly as much as my friend. Its been going well for them.
But you have to find people you trust and raise hell when someone tries to fuck you over.
Its not really a matter of how advanced they are. The material conditions are going to force their hands to action at some point. The big question is will they be reactionary or not. When I say work on their politics, I mean this. How reactionary they are is going to be very important.
I've seen a lot of people upset at children at how they don't care about school. They lack motivation and "they don't care"
Of course they blame it on tablets and shit and it's like. Kids and teens are not fucking stupid. Why should they care about school when it just means they'll be on the street or living with their abusive parents because they can't get a job or apartment. Climate change is here and a transportation crisis is looming near.
Like shit is fucking BLEAK for the next generation.
Also means they are going to be a driving force for change. So we best be reaching out to them and helping them with their politics.
That has been a complaint for me with Thrones since the start. Like its fine to have bad shit happen but you're just a doomer nihilist if you think that is mature way of thinking. Great job doing the job of the oppressors for them
I have been banging the drum about a transportation crisis in America. This was before the war. My timing was wrong and it's actually going to be much worse much faster then I thought.
Its the most dangerous on the roads its ever been. I have to drive from one side of the country to Oklahoma about once a year. And I just wish we had fucking trains for that.

There is almost always a wrecked semi on the road anymore. Hell we were just going to the bigger city for some shit and there was a semi literally smoking the road out cause something was on fire. Dude didn't even know. We had to roll our windows down and point to the back of his truck.

I can't take them seriously as protests and after going to a shit protest back in 2021..idk it fucking broke me driving around a empty building (state capital on the weekend) and no one was there or cared. It felt like such a waste of time.
I'm disabled and also am a recovering agoraphobic (and the most recent body fuckery has not helped). So I have to choose what I use my spoons on.
I helped to created a org that actually does boots on the ground work. And thankfully there are people in there who are willing to go to these things and poach people to us.
I don't think the people doing the local no kings are bad people. I've worked with one personally on a very important local problem with the libraries funding. We succeed, thank god. I just don't have the energy for performative shit and honestly I have a tendency to run my mouth. Not in a "fuck you liberal" way but Ill say something I think is obvious like "Well yeah ICE is bad but also the cops are working with them that proves that cops are our enemy" and I'll piss someone off. Hell not even that something like "Oh people addicted to drugs are not evil".
Like I just do not know how to talk to a certain level of liberal at some point. Ive tried. I've done all my tricks in my autism book and nothing.
I definitely recommend using these things to connect with people if you can. Cause we have gotten people who have wanted to do more then just stand around and do nothing. You can't really complain about America if you are not doing something to counter act it and build/do something better.
