Lawyer has to convince judge of no jurisdiction to return deported man but achieves the opposite

The lawyer, Erez Reuveni, answered most questions asked by Judge Paula Xinis with "I don't know why" or "I haven't been told why". For example, when asked on what legal basis or authority the US government had deported the man in question, Abrego Garcia, the lawyer said he didn't know.

"From the moment he was seized, it was unconstitutional," Judge Xinis said during the hearing. "If there isn't a document, a warrant, a statement of probable cause, then there is no basis to have seized him in the first place. That's how I'm looking at it," the judge said.

The judge also questioned why the U.S. can’t get him back. Reuveni said that was the first question he asked when he was assigned to the case.
“I have not received today an answer that I find satisfactory,” he added.

Won't Let Me Go To Jury Duty? Enjoy Being Questioned In Court

[REPOST]

This was back in the '80s, my first job, working as a maintenance man at a local hotel. I'd been working there part-time since I was 16 and when I turned 18, I got a notice to attend jury duty. I picked a week and I let my boss know.

The owner of the hotel found out and sees me in the hallway and tells me that I need to do "whatever it takes" to get out of jury duty because he needs me at the hotel that week for a large dog show, and if I'm not at work, I'm fired.

When I get to jury duty, day 1, I get selected for a week-long trial, and the judge asks jurors if there's any reason we cannot serve on the jury. They go around... When they get to me, I'm nervous, never been in court before and too scared to lie.

Cue malicious compliance.

I tell the judge that the owner of the business I work at will fire me if I'm not back today and said I needed to do everything I can to get out of jury duty or I'm fired, other than that I'm fine serving. The judge looks p*ssed.

Super extra spicy fried chicken

[NOT OC - REPOST]

I used to work for a big local fastfood chain in the Philippines. I worked as a dinning crew there and my job was to serve the costumers. I was just fresh out of high school back then around 2016.

Our store operated from 6am to 12 midnight and one day, right when we were about to close down for the day, a woman, in her mid 20s came in with another girl. This woman was a bit tomboyish and just looking at the way she moves, I can tell she was a hotshot. After she got her order, she and the girl she was with sat at the seat at the most isolated corner of the dinning area.

After a few minutes, her order came out and I served it to them. It was one spicy chicken and one classic chicken both with rice and drinks.

Just a bit of context, our spicy chicken is actually just your regular chicken sprinkled with very hot chili powder.

The tomboy, who clearly is the one who ordered the spicy chicken for herself took a look at the chicken and at the most alpha male energy she c
