More dual trackball fun at Wylderbuilds!

This time it's a minimal build, a 3x6 Dactyl Manuform with dual encoders on the right pinky column.

This build is printed in a shimmer black PLA that always comes out remarkably well. The silver trackball on the right does the pointing thing and the gold on the left navigates content via drag scroll. It's a terrific little Miryoku-ready keyboard with the latest QMK firmware and full Vial support.

Sizes range from 3x5 to 6x7 with cases printed in resin or PLA. All builds are fully hot-swappable, run on QMK, KMK, or ZMK, and now use USB-C for all connections (except wireless models.)

Other options include:

  • Bluetooth Wirless support.
  • Trackballs (one or two).
  • OLED screens.
  • Rotary encoders (wheel encoders now supported!)
  • RGB Underglow
  • A selection of Kailh switches.

Pick up a build today!

I've posted a couple times about Cut Slope, but one last post to announce that I've released the source code today.

I've got a couple of the prototypes left if you're interested in getting one without getting a whole order fabbed.

Svalboard, 41wpm on day 1? Wowza! -ish

Another happy Svalboard user is crushing it on day 1! I'm really amazed at how quickly most folks are adapting, users of split ergo boards seem to be getting the hang in a week or so, and transitioning to full-time use after 2-3 weeks!

Took me way longer twenty years ago on Datahand, but I had atrocious touch-typing form ;P

Context: Svalboard is my evolution of Datahand and lalboard into a production device. I build them myself here in Pacifica, CA.

It surrounds the fingers with magnetically actuated keys in 5 directions, with total anatomical customizability through novel fitment mechanisms that can suit any hand size and finger anatomy.

20g force is standard, and the profile is insanely tactile/clicky, with instant actuation and very fast breakaway of forces (1/x^2).

It runs QMK-Vial, and is totally modular. Replacement parts can be printed on a Prusa MK3S or equivalent.

Lots more detail at https://www.svalboard.com

Come join the Discord, it's pretty lively and I post lots of the day-to-day design and fabrication experiments as I evolve things! :D

Sale of all Skree products! Check out my terrific work!

Hey! Marshall here from Skree LLC. I'm so very lazy at posting advertisements and community updates but I figured I should get off my butt and do something.

So I've been at this for about a year. The rave reviews and many customers turned friends I've made leads me to assume my work is at least of pretty good quality! I make only wireless builds unless you want something specifically custom.

My dactyls can be ordered with whatever switches you want, they're all hotswap too! I produce custom keycaps to your specifications, including font, format, size, position, etc!

I've got lots of new stuff on the horizon! Choc dactyls, choc flexible pcbs, custom MCU-breakout boards that allow for near ZERO soldering thanks to the use of FPC and JST cables! Just assembled a pick and place machine for all custom pcb manufacturing!

You can check out my reviews, customer photos, and work at SKREE.us or etsy.com/shop/TheBigSkree

If you want any custom work at all let me know! I'm always looking for fun projects!

PS: If you want kinesis board work, be it foam, switchs changed, or even repairs I'm far quicker and have no "lead time" like the current other options!

The Biggest and Baddest Build Yet from Wylderbuilds

Yeah, it's a lot, isn't it?

This is the most feature-rich build I've done yet at Wylderbuilds.

It's a... (big breath in)... Full 6x7 Dactyl Manuform printed in translucent blue PLA with full hot-swap support, dual trackballs, dual OLED screens, dual rotary encoders, underglow RGB, running QMK... wheeze... with Vial support... gasp... on Pi Pico controllers!

It's not for jotting down grocery lists.

Well, unless it's the grocery list of the gods.

In other news, our back-to-school sale is still on. Get 10% off all orders of $50 or more with code ERGONOMICS-101. Sale ends on August 31st, so act... Well, that's like over two weeks away, so you've got time.

But feel free to browse!

PS. The switches shown are my test switches used during builds. They're not included in the build as it's fully hot swap capable, so customers can use any switches they like. The switches on the left are Kailh Speed Copper and on the right they're Kailh Purple Pros. I didn't have enough of either for the whole, vast keyboard.

  • I like it green - atreus52 - ergomech.store

Hi guys, this is my personal setup. Some time I just like to have a plain and simple keyboard, no extra features, no wireless, no RGB, no OLED, no knob.

This is the Atreus52 with gasket mount aluminum case, the keyboard is powered by the famous rp2040 mcu, no more worrying about memory using QMK.

This is soon to be in stocked at https://ergomech.store

In the meantime, please browse our selections of ergomech, and something might caught your eyes.

ErgoMechKeyboards made this keyboard a reality: 4c (formerly chocboard) DIY kits now available!

Headsup! Orders for first batch close tonight at midnight (CDT)

(4c) DIY kits are now open for orders on compression keyboards!

I have been designing and fine tuning the (4c) since late 2022, and am excited to share this product with the world. This first batch will be an extremely limited run.

Orders will be shipped out beginning in just 3 weeks from today 7/25/23.

Note: if you are purchasing the (4c) PCB kit, please check out our wiki for information on building a (4c) and uploading a custom layout! There is also a build guide video that takes you through all the soldering and assembly directions of the (4c) and its accompanying case.

With regards to cases, you can also purchase a 3D printed (4c) case from compression keyboards and they will ship out alongside the PCB kits. In addition, if you have your own 3D printer you can print your own case by heading to the wiki for files and more information.

The wiki with details on part selection, building, design files, and compiling firmware is here: https://compressionkeyboards.com/blogs/wiki

!

travel case has become magnetic, its almost the footprint of a phone. Magnetic wrist rest accessory anyone?

Thanks to everyone on the subreddit (now lemmy community!) that encouraged me to pursue making these real! I'm so happy to be giving back to the community and making these designs available to everyone on Github.
