It simply means he was Christian and he was spreading the Gospel. His most important words were always about his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Look through his social media posts and listen to his interviews. They are filled with plain explanations of the Gospel.

I have heard a few interviews and the words where more like from a Taliban than a Christian tough... Indeed those words might have been taken out of contest.
