I got a bunch of board games for Christmas, and so far I've gotten to play:
Excellent haul! They are all thoughtful choices.
We recently got Hues and Cues too. It is the only one I haven't tried out of the three.
Great tip about the lighting. I'll gather all the lamps from the house for a multi-point lighting rig : -]
Jaipur is probably my favourite 2 player game! It really is a nice back and forward without being to nasty. I gave a copy away for xmas too.
Do you have any other 2 player recommendations? I'm always looking for ones me and the wife can play together.
what kind of games do you guys generally like?
co-op or competitive? weight?
I don't mind competitive, but I think she generally enjoys coop. Simpler is probably better as well.
okay cool here are a few we like my wife is fairly similar about co-op preference.
Thanks for the recommendations!
I posted some of my favourite 2 player games here:
https://lemmy.world/post/8449245
The others I like from that post are Radlands and Hive(pocket).
Others not in the thread that I like at 2P are:
Calico, Captain Carcass, Ghost Blitz, Bruges(re-skinned as Hamburg), Star Realms, Kanagawa, Land vs Sea, Lotus, Morels(aka Fungi), Niya(aka Okiya), and Regicide.
I've played all of these with my wife, who enjoys them too.
Thank you for the list!
My wife and I enjoy playing Jaipur. A fun 2 player game.
