Totally. Can't believe how peaceful my life became since I cut out the crappy people. My phone's 24/7 on do-not-disturb except for wifey and I have no doorbell either (those who I want to see get a code for the gate). Living in a nature sanctuary in the city, so it's also remote yet not rural.
Once a week we gather our deliveries from a pickup-station and that's about it.
Ahhh. Should've done this even earlier.

You are so so so lucky! Yeah, 99.9% of problems are just people. Malicious, judgemental, Stupid, Entitled, Selfish, and jealous people.
They aren't worthy of laying eyes on me and mine anymore.

I know we're lucky and privileged. And yes, most people are just unbearable for many reasons or even a colorful rainbow thereof. So many that I often thought it might just be ME, not the others.
But the older I get, the more I know it's not me. And it's not the cognitive dissonance either, that keeps me from acknowledging it might be otherwise 😁
BUT there are pearls in the ocean of annoyance. It just gets a bit tiresome to search for them.
