The problem is that Sicily is freely floating. That would constantly break the bridge.
- What do you mean by that? Cause the exact words you used are quite obviously incorrect.
  
  Sicily is build on a wooden platform that freely floats on the ocean.
  
  Ah, I didn't get the sarcasm at first! Because it is on its own microplate that makes it challenging to build a bridge. I thought you might mean that with an... interesting understanding of it.
