I appreciate that you did the hinges properly instead of just screwing them to the back.

I tried doing them properly, but managed to fuck up the alignment. So what you are seeing is a fix, they are actually mounted on the out side. Sorry to disappoint you.

But your next hinges will be better yet. And I learned what to do the next time I mess up my hinge install. Which is likely the next time I attempt a hinge install. š

The hinge mortises look aligned to me. How are they misaligned?

They where ever so slightly off , and not deep enough. So the lid didn't close properly.
