Getting my first Fursona drawn
Hello, I am currently thinking about starting the process of having the first image of my fursona drawn, but tbh I am totally lost about what artist and what kind of commission etc, hemce this post. Could anyone point a paw at a guide maybe or explain where to look, what to look for etc đ Thanks a lot in advance <3

honestly, all you gotta do is find an artist you like and see if they are open for commissions. there are tons of smaller artists who donât have big queues! iâd say check around the furry scene on Bluesky and donât be shy sending a DM if theyâre accepting requests. let them know you are new and tell them up front youâre looking for someone who is able to help assist them more than the average client. theyâll decide if they wanna do that for you or not. thatâs basically what i did and it went well.

Also want to piggy back because if this is a sona, do you (OP) have a clear idea of what you are or look like? The more time you spend figuring these things out, writing detailed stuff down, making crude sketches or perhaps editing bases, the more likely whoever it is that you speak with will be able to bring your idea and identity to life. Whatever mediums work best to help you visualize your sona, will also help the person drawing it. In this way, both of you have less headache making changes, or being dissatisfied with results.
