My girls lay them faster than we can eat them, so we give them away for free because fuck charging for food.

We have neighbors that do the same. We've had to re-gift a few or redirect them to other neighbors, because we don't eat very many eggs at all. It's certainly a nice gesture, though.

Stovetop @lemmy.world About $9/dozen where I am, if there are any even left on the shelf.
I know some other regions of the US are already over $1/egg.

Edit: oops they're actually 18 count which is not a dozen
