Works the other way around too…if something good doesn’t happen, that’s bad luck, if something good does happen, that’s good luck.

Yep. This one is trivially true once you realize that something almost happening means it didn't happen.

Unless you get shat on by a bird; in which case, everyone tells you it's good luck, but ultimately you're still covered in bird shit.
If something bad almost happens repeatedly ... it's "bad decisions"
If something good is continuously almost happening, it's 'edging'
That's just bad luck.
