No one I’m really interested in following is on there yet so my feed there is essentially empty.

That instance hosts news feeds copied from Twitter. I found it useful to replace what I used Twitter for mostly. I’ve since found other mastodon users to follow, you just need to lurk about a bit and look at what’s trending.
