I know, it's really too bad. Vulgar Display of Power is really good and had some absolutely filthy riffs, but there are so many other amazing metal bands that don't have the problematic associations that I have a hard time justifying spending my limited time on Pantera

Misery Index is a strong choice. Now that I'm thinking of the metalcore vein, I'd go ETID's "People Verses" or "Planet Shit"
