Weylandyuta @lemmy.world Take it from an actual stagehand, it's front of house irregardless of venue. I'm sure there are different names but if you work in the industry, that's front of house.

12 1 ReplySkyhighatrist @lemmy.ca I hate it too, but irregardless has officially been a word in dictionaries for years now.
16 7 ReplyMystikIncarnate @lemmy.ca I just want to add that I too hate that it's a word now.

28 9 ReplyWeylandyuta @lemmy.world Typing it out I was thinking, wait... I did clarify that I'm a stagehand though. I'm prone to some grammatical mistakes.
9 1 ReplySkyhighatrist @lemmy.ca It's not actually a mistake. It's a word that has been in use for 200+ years with its first recorded use in 1795. It's controversial, but it appears in dictionaries and is a synonym for regardless. Love it or hate it language changes with time and when enough people use a word it becomes a part of the language.
8 4 ReplyMystikIncarnate @lemmy.ca I'm voting for "hate it".
Not that my vote matters....
