When this was posted on Reddit, people explained that the cat probably sees the snake as prey, and so brings it to the place where he/she eats prey.
Like the video of a leopard seal trying to feed a diver a penguin and can't understand why he's not eating it.
if that's the video i'm thinking of, that was my uncle and he did not know he was supposed to be afraid of leopard seals.

I thought cats were scared of snakes and that’s why they jump from cucumbers.
