Do you brush your teeth in the shower or the sink?
Do you brush your teeth in the shower or the sink?
I wonder what is the ratio of wet vs dry brushers.

In the sink like a sane person. How is brushing teeth in the shower saving you time?
Y'all weird. I brush my teeth in my mouth.
You guys only brush you teeth under the shower?!
I think my dentist would get very mad at me if I only brushed my teeth during holidays.
I brush in the shower in the morning and I'm the sink before bed
It's weird that you turn into a sink before bed
On the sink. Brushing in the shower sounds like one of those productivity hacks people who think efficiency is important do.
Spouse does it, but they go goblin mode. Paste foam everywhere. I guess they find it fun.
Keeps all the white toothpaste flecks off the mirror.
You can umm... You can also clean it.
Keep your mouth closed....
Why on earth would you brush your teeth in the shower??
Neither. I brush them whilst standing next to the sink.
Why would I brush them in the shower? It’s so much wasted water and you don’t even save time wtf
I typically turn the water off if I'm brushing in the shower. Hop in, shampoo, rinse, apply conditioner, turn off water, brush teeth, scrub body, turn water on, rinse, done. Makes use of otherwise dead time I'd spend waiting for the conditioner to work, and is comfortable enough with the residual heat from the walls and steam.
I used to brush in the shower back in my early 20s. Then one time when I went to spit, it landed right on my dick.
Toothpaste is an unexpectedly uncomfortable feeling, so now it's sink only.
Minty fresh though ...
I got a beesting right on my penis once, and the only thing that helped was a compress of baking-soda based toothpaste. It does, indeed, feel weird and uncomfortable, but it beats the hell out of an itchy, painful beesting.
Sink. I'd be wasting all that shower water I'm not actively washing with, or I'd be shivering with the water turned to a trickle. When I brush at the sink, I only need to wet the brush, and turn off the tap until I'm ready to rinse.
Sink. I brush my teeth twice a day. Brushing only when I shower would be revolting.
Shower. I do it while the conditioner is "working".
Shower in the morning, sink in the evening
Pros:
Cons:
Same! My current partner doesn't mind and I actually convinced a previous partner to adopt it so there are at least two ladies out there who are neutral-to-positive about it.
In the sink, you barbarian!
No, god no. I have plenty to do in the shower and not enough hot water.
Not to mention, where the hell do you put your toothbrush and stuff while you're lathering up with soap? I don't wanna get soap on my toothbrush.
Shower. It's unconventional, but i like it
Psychopath detected.
… who tf brushes their teeth in the shower
People trying to wrap this shit up as fast as possible.
There are dozens of us!
Me
If I get out of the shower, I'm likely to forget. But if cleaning my teeth is a part of my cleaning me routine...
Sink. Brushing with warm water is disgusting.
I've never even considered brushing my teeth under the shower? That seems unnecessary and impractical imo. I shower ever other day usually and I brush my teeth at least twice a day, but currently 4 times a day due to braces. I don't see how these 2 things align in terms of planning?
Despite what a dentist might say, I imagine most people still brush once a day. I grew up doing that and had no cavities or other issues.
Really? That would surprise me a lot. Maybe it's a cultural difference, I'm not sure where you're from. I can't imagine that the majority of the people I know only brush once a day, I've never noticed anyone deviating from the normal morning/evening pattern. But I also haven't really paid much attention so maybe I just haven't noticed. How do people do that? I tend to notice quite quickly that I forgot toe brush because it feels yucky.
Why would you brush your teeth in the shower and what idiot uses a dry toothbrush to brush their teeth,
The sink. It never occurred to me that people regularly brush their teeth in the shower until now.
I used to brush without wetting the toothbrush, but ever since I saw a fruit fly on my toothbrush, I've rinsed it off before using.
I brush them in my mouth.
But where do you spit
The sink, obviously.
What kind of maniac would keep their toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and whatnot in the shower? (Or even worse, carry them into the shower, wash their teeth, shower with only one hand while awkwardly holding onto them with the other, awkwardly dry themselves using only one hand, and then store them back next to the sink where they belong?)
I keep a toothbrush and bottle of toothpaste in the shower because I have atrocious ADHD and that is the only place I ever remember to brush them. It's literally the one lifehack that I've tried that has actually worked. I've been doing it for a couple years now and I finally brush my teeth every day after struggling for my entire life.
Shower for sure
Yes.
I mean, if I'm already showering, sometimes I'll brush whilst showering
But 99% of time, the sink
I brush at the sink, but use my waterpik in the shower 'cause it's too messy otherwise.
I prefer to brush my teeth outside on the porch when possible.
Brushing your teeth in the shower is like leaving the water running while you brush in the sink, except even worse.
If you are hanging out in the shower for a but anyways, it isn't.
both on occasion, but i brush my teeth at least once or twice a day, while i only shower like once a week usually. so it is most often the sink.
I do it lying in bed
Reminder that daily showers are an American thing and in most cases are unnecessary at best, harmful to your skin at worst
Sink, btw.
I sweat too much at work to not shower daily. Not to mention I can't wake up and start my day unless I shower first.
Which is why I said "in most cases".
Wait until you learn about Brazil 👁️👁️
What happens when I learn about Brazil?
If I’m going in the shower then 100% in the shower. Good excuse to just stand there for 2 minutes and don’t worry about making a mess.
the sink
On the toilet. I multitask.
I used to keep toothbrushes and toothpaste by each sink and in both showers. It can be convenient to just do everything while you're in there.
I take cold showers, so I am doing everything in my power to get in and out in 2 minutes or less. I would absolutely not add teeth brushing to my routine in there.
Personally I brush my teeth in the shower after pewiepie mentioned it one time. A bad habit from trying one time.
50/50
Wake up brush in sink
Shower before bed brush in shower It’s not that wild
You don't have a sink in your shower?
The same sink I piss in? No thanks
I wouldn't brush my teeth in the same shower I shit in either.
