I haven’t heard of this instance until now, and I hope to never see users or posts from it on instances I frequent.
I saw it a handful of days ago and put the entire instant on my client’s filter list because the person I saw was not smart and I didn’t have a good feeling.

Damn even Lemmy.today wasn’t having none of that.
Wait, did we defed an instance?
Don't worry, all the usual suspects have accounts on this server
Those remaining green servers are probably good candidates for defederation too.
I assume they're newer instances coming online and federating with all they can. I'll check back in another week.
I know the admin of at least one of them and they're definitely not on board with that shit.
Yeah my mistake I didn’t realize the green ones were the new servers that spin up in the last week and the black ones are the ones that haven’t defederated yet.
Why were they federated anywhere in the first place and what changed?
Most of the fediverse runs on a blacklist, not a whitelist. This means that new instances are federated by default as a general rule, though content only travels through instances when it's requested by users in some way or another.
Blocking an instance is not much more work than banning a user, so in most cases it's not a huge problem to have to actively defederate from bad actors.
yeah but then you get shit like, invisible maga replies to all of your comments….
you don’t see them because you “blocked” the instance, but to everyone else there’s three paragraphs of maga shit around everything you write….
soft blocking like this is weak and it is a problem until they’re defederated.
We gave them the Gab treatment! Good work team.
What do these colors mean?
Red was removed, i.e. was federated last week but not this week. Green was added in the last week. The remaining few were federated and still are.
This is a diff of their instances page a from last week Friday to today.
