Note: Reinstall all previous extensions, otherwise update won't be possible.

How to migrate from Tachiyomi to a fork:

  • On Tachiyomi: Settings -> Data and Storage -> Create Backup
  • On the fork: same steps, select "Restore backup"

  • The standalone list doesn't mention it, but Neko can import the Tachiyomi backup, though only the Mangadex manga of course. It's also actually a Tachiyomi fork and was endorsed by them until Kakao struck AFAIK. Figured it was good to mention.

    • Tanks, i don't really read anime, only comics and didn't test that. I'll add it later.

  • Worth mentioning: Anyone using TachiyomiJ2K (I use it for Surface Duo dual-screen support) or another fork with support who has some self-hosting prowess, there's always Suwayomi - It will let you "migrate" to a third-party sources repo even if your app doesn't support it, since it becomes your device's only local extension.
