I feel as though Aaron Swartz would support this migration.
I'm not 100% convinced yet but lemmy.world is the best instance I've seen, combined with the .old styling edition.
- If he couldn't control Reddit, and he was still around to see it turn into what it is today, he would've left years ago and started Reddit 2.0

  I'd have been part of it but I deleted my account at the start of the month lol
  So the original plan for was it to go grayscale at the end? If so, I guess they changed it to a white out after the huge spez sign showed up.

Don't worry, they're done with this for now, but in desperation will probably add the "click the button" thing back.
That being said, the white thing is a better idea.. It makes it boring and useless.. Nobody is going to look back at that
