A new study published in the journal Sexuality & Culture has found that many adolescents in Spain, including those as young as 12, are not only aware of OnlyFans but also see it as a viable and even empowering way to make money. In group discussions with over 160 teenagers, researchers discovered that platforms promoting erotic content are influencing how young people—especially girls—view economic opportunity, self-worth, and sexuality. Teens frequently framed content creation as a personal choice or expression of agency, while minimizing the risks.

Now I want the woke crowd to defend mainstreamification of sex work.
- As part of the woke crowd, what I want to see is the „mainstreamification“ of respect for and safety of the people in sex work. You know, because they’re people.
- sex work is work no different than other jobs other than puritanical stigma against it
  
  I don’t agree. I have a simple test which anyone cam do. Ask yourself- Would I promote my child (obviously once they become legal age) to do xyz?

  If you're not rich you're selling your body.
  Coal miners? Longshoreman? Farmers? Hell, sitting at a desk all day.
  They all sell their body.

  Upvote to bring you back to zero, because why not. I thought your other comment was a reasonable question, even if I don't agree, and nothing I've seen from you so far seems ban-worthy (although obviously, the mods might disagree with me).
  To respond to your question - I wouldn't promote my kid doing anything, really. I might put them in touch with experts, give them an education, or introduce them to useful people, but I can't imagine any profession that my child could get into where I would go out of my way to "promote" their work.
  If they were of legal age and decided to get into porn or sex work, I'd advise being careful (especially for in-person work) and I obviously wouldn't be consuming any of their content, but other than that, I'd let them make their own decisions. I don't let my kid play sports that are going to permanently impact their mental function, and I wouldn't advise professional wrestling or football as a career choice, but if they decided that that was what they wanted to do with their life, that's up to them.
  I don't see how porn is worse.

  There are lots and lots of jobs lower on the ladder than OnlyFans. If your litmus test is "Well, I wouldn't want MY child doing it..." then it's all down to personal morals not an actual inherent problem with the job.
  I'm not thrilled that my kid is out there creating AIs. I don't mean prompt engineering, I mean as in "he's a leader in the AI space, writing papers, speaking at conferences" kind of thing.
  But he's safe, happy, seeing the world, and making a fuck ton of money so...

  I would not promote my child, once of any age, legal or otherwise, to be a:
  Cop
  Coal miner
  Road crew worker
  Soldier
  Hedge Fund Manager
  Debt collections specialist
  And a host of other jobs. So, those jobs are basically on par with sex work, correct?
  
  gotta have money to live they should do whatever they want to make money as long as it isn't harming anyone.
