I get what you mean.
Personally I am unsure of whether it's one of two things
- Things are getting better now as they were back then but now I am older and more cynical so I don't accept they really are improving as a whole. Much like many people my age probably did when I was younger.
- Things are getting worse and we're all fucked.

I have absolutely no faith and see zero evidence of it being 1. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

I agree with you, but I'm too old and worn down to do it, and nobody else seems to be in much of a hurry either.
I don't think it's coming in my lifetime.

I have started donating to Corby 's new party, whatever it'll be called. Hopefully it'll grow into something meaningful
