You still get banned here too. The mods can disagree politically and just ban you as they can on reddit.

Yeah but at least the platform is decentralised meaning you can still move your stuff to a better instance.
On reddit you can do no such thing. Lemmy is definitely not perfect but still miles better than reddit.
