It take a few week on Lemm.ee IIRC. Most people wait for a bit, if that's really important for you you can have a look at https://lemmy.zip/.
You can export and import your settings from your settings account using the default UI

I believe its a instance setting so it could be different then mine, but I couldn't upload for a few weeks on .ml
