The premise is that a matchmakers wife is "assumingly" kidnapped. Turns out he is the double (possible clone?) of an WW2 SS-officer, and are unknowing part of an larger world conspiracy. Trying to bring about the end if the world? I remember the last scene were one of the main antagonists (now blinded) are waiting in line to see a healer who was revealed in the show.
