6 0 ReplyI assembled it myself. It was more expensive than my M1 Air. It’s still a great machine. Microsoft just doesn’t support my CPU (i5 6600K) for some reason. It would probably run Windows very well if it was supported, I have no reason to think otherwise.

What's wrong with Linux? Wayland would run very nice on that screen.

A few years ago, I used dosdude's "patcher" to install 10.13 on a pretty old MacBook Pro that couldn't run it. It's been working really well. I think "OpenCore" might the more modern version of this. Worth a look?

I do miss the days of swappable parts especially the soldered ram is such a ripoff just for a few mm of thinness that I don’t need
