It seems like Apple’s Self Service Repair program might already be in compliance, which would mean if the EU agrees all Apple would have to do is make it fully available in all the member states. The EU might get really aggressive in their definitions, but it’s not really in their best interest at a certain point.

I hope the first option in the case, I’m kinda against the idea of mandating design choices in that sure an easily replaceable battery sounds great, but what will need to be sacrificed in other design choices? Not sure how waterproofing, warranty will change.
I don’t know what that includes, but I’d like expect the EU wouldn’t like it if it requires a lot of special tools.
