Is there a way to disable the followers/following thing?

I find it a little creepy...being followed, you know. I've never been a Twitter /Insta or whatever user and on Reddit I had it disabled.

On Mastodon Misskey and Hubzilla you can make private only so you have to accept follower. Might be in the works but not priority. You can toggle not to show your follows so people can't harass your follow.Same with Magazine.
- Hey, thanks for the reply. Even though I have it not to show the follows, they are still visible to others. Maybe it's not working properly yet.
