It's not damage control lol, this isn't PR. It's them being professional. Why the hell would they spew a bunch of drama? That's just being an adult, it's nobody's business and they're right to not speak on this guy's behalf or encourage internet randos to speculate and involve themselves.

A lot of people have a problem with not wanting to hear any criticism of Godot and the team. Which is why you're getting down voted even though your take is quite reasonable.
