Iceland. One of the most beautiful, weird, friendly places I've ever visited.

My vote is for Iceland too! If you fly their airline, you get to stay there without paying the cost of airfare any time you are flying between Europe & the USA, by turning your layover into a "stopover." It's 100% worth taking advantage of! Plus, shorter plane flights on either end :)
