A friend of mine would occasionally find sushi while dumpster diving as well. He'd toss it in the oven before eating though. Seemingly didn't make him sick. Would that be safe to consume?

Rotting meat has toxic shit that doesn’t get destroyed by cooking. The bacteria consuming the mean will die, but their poop can still hurt you.
