How much do y'all spend on hair? By that I mean going to a place to get a cut or whatever you need to do e.g. colour etc.
$0. I cut my own. It's a thing from when I was super poor that I just kept up. Maybe I should now..
Edit: my MIL gets someone to visit, supplies her own hair dye and gets a cut and colour for about $30. Mr Peeler's cousin gets it done at the hairdresser's house and pays $130.
That seems to be the minimum going rate unfortunately for a 3cm trim. I'm not sure wtf happened to all those 10 min haircut places. Victims of covid maybe. It's crazy how much it costs for either a barely noticeable difference or worse outcome lol
I wish I can cut my own. I've heard about the ones that attend or you go to their place which sounds like that could be economical. Guess you just gotta know people.
$25 from the salon next to Woolies. No appointment necessary. Just sit and wait for a hairdresser to cut my straight white girl hair then I'm off to do my shopping.
I've been sitting here at one of those walk in places for 90 minutes and counting and this should set me back about 40 bucks. The wait never used to be so bad and I don't know how much I'd value my time at but I don't think I'll be doing this again.
Yeah it's because it's a Saturday. Busiest day of the week.
Yeh this is rather regrettable. There's a few things that I need to do so I should've just taken a day off and get it all done on a weekday.
Edit: there used to be more staff (six months or so ago) so even on the weekend it wasn't so bad but there's like two staff doing 14 people today.
$165 every 6 weeks for a cut, colour and blow wave. I'm happy to splurge a little on my hair, I wear it every day so it might as well look good.
I spent about $200 almost 5 years ago now. Good set of clippers, always oil after use. But you know, there's only one hairstyle option for that method really.
Free. Either I shave some of it myself if I just want it shaved on the sides or my mate cuts it for me for free, they study as a hairdresser. Though next weekend will be the first time I'm paying for a haircut but it's only 'cause I'm giving them money for petrol because they're travelling to my place.
I cut my own. Dye is about $15 for the bleach then about $40 for colour. I need multiple pots because of the length.
It's been a while since I dyed my own hair and I feel like I'm never even in applying it lol
Uneven is what I aim for. I get into it with a paintbrush and a second colour. Or even more sometimes.
I think my last hair cut cost me 30.
Before Covid a barber I was going to was doing it for 21, now it’s 29 or 30 for a cut now.

I spend about $200 to get foils, cut, style etc. about every 8 weeks.
I hate spending that much, but It's my one extravagant item. I don't drink, smoke, or really buy much of anything usually.

If it makes you feel good then I guess it's worth it. I used to spend more on it but over time I just don't think I feel that great about haircuts that I could justify the spend anymore.
$125 for a wash, hair treatment, cut & blowdry.
~$120 for a style cut and blow dry. Supposed to do it every 6-8 weeks but I’m not rich so I grow it out until I look like a crazy bog witch (3-4 months) and then go. I was cutting it myself when it was very long, but I do a long bob now and lack the skills to DIY on my hair type.
I leave it till I look like a crazy witch too. People are appalled lol.
