Why would people assume that an IP address determines your geography or your nationality?
Because its mostly true at the continent level.
It's never certain because we use proxies.
99% sure because few people do that and proxies are detectable
Jesus, you're making the same mistake they are. Don't be stupid. Don't make assumptions.
But their not wrong most of the time it well be correct. It doesn't mean it well always be correct and cases like this seem to be when it won't be.
It's an assumption that is usually wrong.
I'm a US American working with India with an IP that says I'm in the Netherlands.
The IP says neither where is my geography nor my nationality.
When you make assumptions, you make an ass out of you and me.
