Did you get this prompt off of Tumblr or something? It's shit. So let me get this straight: I have my own memories intact, but they're useless because I cannot assume my own identity, and original young me doesn't exist. So nothing I know about my own past, about the things I've witnessed in my family or community is worth a damn because I'm now Tim Sanderson from Unkachunk North Dakota. I'm equipped with an incorrect copy of wikipedia. If the stock market's performance diverges from my first trip through the 21st century, then other things will, too, so the copy of Wikipedia is going to be wrong and get wronger with time, like an AI hallucination. I'm supposed to play the role of a 10 year old given a 10 year old's diary, while repeating middle and high school, while unable to live a normal middle and high schooler's life. A 10 year old cannot reasonably place bets, invest in stocks, or mine bitcoin. No one will believe a 12 year old about a financial crash or a coming pandemic. Which may or may not happen because the timelines are diverging. Being a few years younger, there's one fewer election I won't have the power to vote in. If I can't trust the stock market info I have, I can't trust that bitcoin takes off, that mining or buying bitcoin for pennies in the early 00s and selling in 2017 isn't the guaranteed route to being a trillionaire it should be.
