If by actually living a life you mean things like going out with friends, playing games/fun hobbies, spending time with family, going to dinner, etc. then that’s fine! But that’s the cost of staying where you are. And on the other side, the path to wealth costs the sacrifice of these things temporarily for a period in life. Each is the cost of the other.

Why do you suck up to them? What do you hope to get out of this?

The difference is they went through the period of sacrifice and now they’re past it. You can’t compare their end with your beginning. And no, I’m not sucking up to them. I don’t give a shit about any of them, but what I do give a shit about is victim mindset, and people like you going online to removed about things out of your control so you can give yourself the excuse not to start and provide yourself with the comfort that the excuses you’re making to not get somewhere better is actually the right move.

only when you believe that they actually earned it by working for it, and not how its most often through inheritence, that they raised through the ranks via Peter-Principle or that they were damn lucky in lottery or being at the right place at the right time.
