No kidding. Camacho saw the problems and wanted to solve them.
Nope. He did shy from the challenge. "Build a wall and make Mexico pay for it" is not a serious attempt to deal with a structural socioeconomic issue.
That isn't earnestness it's lazy thinking. Might as well just pour Brawndo on it.
Just allow everyone in so it's not illegal anymore. Problem solved.
Views that include believing people who are different from you aren't people at all should never be respected, for any reason, ever.
It's impossible for me to expand on thoughts that came from your head and not mine, so since I didn't say that you'll have to try again.
I've yet to encounter someone who is against illegal immigration that isn't also majorly racist.
On the basis that it shouldn't be illegal in the first place. Borders don't need to exist. Borders should not exist. People should be free to come and go and work and play anywhere they want, anywhere on the planet.
Far better to bloom where you're planted, in my humble opinion.
Easy to think that when you come from a place that has a pretty high quality of living. I seriously doubt you'd have that opinion if you were from some place like Somalia or even Mexico.
Historically, it was open borders - as long as you had the correct skin color.
Ellis Island didn’t send anyone away - unless they had like TB or something.
In the 50’s - many Mexican Americans who were legally citizens were deported in “Operation Wetback.” Based on skin color/appearance - which matches with the reports of what ICE is doing now harassing Native Americans.
It’s never been about following rules, it’s always been about being the right kind of person
I dunno about that "most" man. The America I grew up believing in was the "give me your tired, your poor" America, and I bet a lot of us feel the same.
Borders are stupid.
