You gotta get em fixed, and pure titanium chain is only thing that will hold em, not a good breed for apartments.
Just make sure not to have two of them together or one of them will kill the other just to melt the chains with its acid blood.
I think they've deliberately used their own blood before?
Be sure to clip their tail spike.
In alien ressurecrion they kill one of their own to melt their way out of their cage
