I just threw it together but here is the process. Salt and peppered some wings and cook them in the air fryer until crispy (or whichever cooking method you prefer). Meanwhile, mix together 1 big dollop of whole grain mustard, about half a cup of maple syrup, juice of 1 lime, and salt to taste. Adjust according to how sweet or sour you want it. Cook in a pan over medium heat and keep stirring until it thickens (you should be able to run a spatula through it and leave a "trail" that fills in after a second or so). When it's thick toss the wings in a bowl with the sauce.
Yes! I've done this before and it works really well. The only drawback is that you need to start them at least 8 hours ahead, but that's not an issue if you know you're going to be cooking wings.
