These are both in popular coms. It seems to me that Lemmy widely accepts messages like these, and it's disingenuous to pretend like it's not a popular sentiment. This is clearly a conversation we need to have.
OP is saying the quiet part out loud. Responsible citizens keep such thoughts to themselves until they are organized to save their democracy and it becomes absolutely necessary to use violence to do so. The reason is: Violence should always be a last resort and bringing it up publicly all the time makes it seem extremist and scare some comrades.

I never once said shoot. Mod logs are public. And I never once said the poop thing TO a user as the mod suggested, my comment history is very much available. I encourage you to find me saying “shoot.”
The mod is simply interpreting things how they want to interpret them, which is something a bad mod does. No rules were broken, and that is why they are on a power trip.

Then perhaps you'd like to post the relevant bits from the modlog? Have you even looked at the sidebar of this sub?
- Provide the cause of the sanction (e.g. the text of the comment).
- Provide the reason given by the mods for the sanction.
- Don't use private communications to prove your point. We can't verify them and they can be faked easily.
