Nope, but it wouldn't be at THIS level. We somehow went from "Mainstream Trans Acceptance" to "Democrats thirst for Transblood because it's THEIR fault Trump won! Because they were playing women's sports while diddling people in the bathroom!" over-fucking-night.
When did we have mainstream trans acceptance? I'd love to hear about that utopian era.
Two months ago when the media had to pretend that "Gender dysphoria doesn't exist! They're sending Sylvester Stallone in a fucking dress to your little girl's soccer game!" was a fucking far right conspiracy theory no one took seriously, instead of a far right conspiracy theory loved by fucking everyone apparently.
I hate everything
What are you even talking about now?
You said we had mainstream trans acceptance. We didn't. That's nonsense. There has never been such a time in America.
Do you not remember in 2016 when even Trump was saying "Just let transgirls pee in the lady's room?" and Pat McCory was laughed out of the state of NC over a bathroom ban that the whole country mocked?
I remember all the trans people who were murdered in 2016.

And the sad story is, we'll look back at these numbers and think "My God we had it so good back then." because the mainstream US zeitgeist is ready to throw us under the bus and it's freaking me out.
Is it gender affirming to be mansplained by squid?
Not really. I mean, a month ago if I saw transphobes in the media I could trust they'd be referred to as backwards idiots. After Trump won, I saw nothing but sympathy for bigots and "Perhaps the trans crowd overplayed their hand." dogwhistling
And I'm too scared for misogyny directed at my person by stranger on the internet to cheer me up as it usually does... That sounds weird out of context, but you know what I mean.
Ok. That doesn’t mean there was ever mainstream acceptance of trans people.
