Here is the little trick that insurance companies play with anesthesia. You go to a hospital that is in your plan, but every person that sees you in the hospital is not on the same plan. When you go in for surgery the anesthesiologist is not on your plan so you get to pay the full price not even the limited coverage. It is not like you get to ask while your going under am I covered? What a racket these shit stains have.
That's referred to as "surprise billing' and it was made illegal in 2022. I have no idea how bulletproof the law is though.
