I use it fairly regularly because of bad allergies. It basically dissolves the snot. Weird feeling at first, but feels wonderful afterwards
It's very important to shake the saline solution to mix it well; burns like hell if you don't
Also burns if you forget the saline packet
For me this doesn't burn in the same way -- it's more like the swimming pool feeling if you don't put enough salt
I've been looking for somewhere that sells USP-grade salt and baking soda in bulk so I don't have to waste so much material dealing with the packets, but I haven't been able to find anything legit.
The pre-measured packets are really convenient though. If you're nose is really blocked it's good to use between 1 and 2 packets for a hypertonic solution.
