Do you have any African ones?

I largely just ran through my top films and split off by country. Africa is trickier but of those I've seen:
- Dust Devil (1993) - South African co-production filmed in Namibia
- The Dead (2010) - British production but filmed in Ghana.
- Fried Barry (2020) - South African
Not seen but look worth a watch (not sure about availability though):
- Living in Bondage (1992) - Nigeria, helped kickstart the video era for Nollywood so is historically important too
- Saloum (2021) - Senegal
- Gaia (2021) - South African
1 0 Replyfrightful_hobgoblin @lemmy.ml You are amazing.
Saloum's already on the list. I watch Good Madam this month but I'm not recommending it.

I have missed South Korea off despite them knocking it out of the park recently. Might as well go with the big ones:
- Host (2006)
- A Tale of Two Sisters (2003)
- Train to Busan (2016)
For Russia:
- Night Watch (2004)
Scandinavia:
- Frostbitten (2006) - Sweden
- Let The Right One In (2008) - Sweden (in a co-production with Norway and France)
- Troll Hunter (2010) - Norway
1 0 Replyfrightful_hobgoblin @lemmy.ml Is Troll Hunter a horror or a comedy?
One thing I've heard is that it's a comedy to Norwegians but non-Norwegians don't get the jokes and it looks like a horror

It needn't be either/or - it's a comedy horror.
