I'm not sure why the blood surprised me. Maybe I was unknowingly expecting him to bleed something else. Like chicken grease or mayonnaise.

I don't even eat meat and I would never ruin a steak that way.

I didn't downvote you but if a steak is too far gone I will put ketchup (or even catsup) on it. I wouldn't call myself a fan but it can somewhat salvage an otherwise ruined piece of meat.
