I don't ever really see myself having a decent job. FFS feels like Its off the table.

I was able to access FFS, but only because I transitioned late in life and was able to spend my superannuation (something like 401K for those in the US)
If given the choice between FFS, or transitioning at your age, I'd choose to have transitioned at your age.

That gives me lots of hope. I thought I was starting too late at ~31.

No such thing as too late. There is later than we would have liked, but even that isn't too late :)
