apt-get isn't deprecated...
If you run apt search x | grep y, you'll even get a warning against using apt in scripts
apt-get isn't going away, apt is just a nicer frontend for interactive use

Well, for interactive use it's fully deprecated. Usually when someone just posts a command with no context, I assume it to be meant to be used in an interactive session, not pasted into a script file.
But overall, yes, you're technically correct.
