They certainly knew how to collect it back then. They just didn't yet have anyone willing to buy it from them.

If it's 97, there's a good chance the computer doesn't even have an internet connection.

And even if it did, it wasn't always connected when running.

God damn do I miss dialup. It was great for avoiding all contact with people.
